Marc Peskett - Partner, MPR Group

Marc is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in high-level business planning, taxation consulting and general accounting. He has a demonstrated ability to service a broad, diverse client base ranging from start-ups to well established businesses. 

His ability to establish close relationships with clients reflects a philosophy that each client's situation and needs are unique, requiring the tailoring of services towards realising the true potential of a client's business over time. Marc specialises in providing strategic financial and tax advice at every stage in the business development cycle, helping business owners maximise, protect and realise their wealth.

Marc's professional accomplishments include:

• Assisting clients establish the long term strategic vision for their business and facilitating the implementation of value added services towards the realisation of business goals
• Establishing accounting, taxation and financial processes to meet statutory requirements and support performance evaluation
• Providing financial analysis and the provision of strategic advice on new business ventures, including the return on investment on business ventures and initiatives
• Implementing business structures and restructuring businesses to optimise commercial and tax efficiencies 
• Assisting and advising business owners on succession planning and the sale of businesses.

Matthew Murphy - Partner, MPR Group

Matthew is a Certified Practicing Accountant with over 15 years experience in Business, Accounting and Taxation Advisory services. He has gained his extensive experience by working with many facets of business, including Corporate, Government and the Public Practice arena.  Matt's focus is to provide quality business, accounting and taxation services to small to medium size enterprises.  Commensurate with MPR's philosophy, Matt provides holistic advice to business owners, which is based on sound technical knowledge and practical experience. 

As a business owner he understands the real needs of his clients, and focuses on the professional services gap that exists in the market place between accountants and clients.  Matt has the skills, experience and ability to consult and advise on an extensive range of business matters, from complex taxation corporate structuring to strategic business planning.

Matt's professional accomplishments include:

• Partner of an Accounting and Business Advisory Firm since 1999
• Establishing close relationships with his clients to the extent of being considered an integral part of their business and performing the role of their internal financial controller and trusted business advisor
• Successfully structuring businesses to legitimately reduce or eliminate Capital Gains Tax liabilities 
• Performing the role of financial controller for a listed public company, including assisting with the ASX listing process.

Russell Sharp - Principal, MPR Finance

Russell established the finance arm of MPR in October 2007 and brings to the practice over 13 years of experience in banking and finance, most recently with some of Australia's largest banks. 

Russell joined MPR with the pursuit of providing a finance service solution that saves his clients time, money and the frustrations of dealing with the banks.  He prides himself on his ability to establish close relationships with his clients and proactively develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customers business and financial service needs.

Russell's professional accomplishments include:

• Retaining existing customers by consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations through superior service
• Setting up facilities that suit client's current and future financial goals that assist with the growth of their business 
• Maintaining solid bank relationships and knowledge of their policies, products and procedures 
• Held a senior management position and managing a team responsible for over 300 small to medium group's lending and banking facilities 
• Member of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia.
