RBA raise cash rate

The RBA raised the cash rate this afternoon by 25 basis points to 4.5%.
The increase will be effective from 5 May 2010.

The minutes of RBA Board Meetings explain monetary policy decisions and are published two weeks after each meeting.  A copy of the minutes will be available here shortly.
